Smoke Alarm
We often recommend Nest smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms. The advantages of Nest are that the alarms are all WiFi connected. So if one goes off they all go off, making them safer because people are alerted to smoke in the house no matter where they are. Nest also provides a history of events showing when the smoke alarms test themselves and provides notifications on your phone while an event is happening. So if you are away from home and smoke is detected in the kitchen you will know about it as soon as anyone else that is there!
