Plug Socket & USB

We are often asked to install new plug sockets, and what seems a straightforward task really is not due to the most recent regulations. Many houses in the past have had spurs installed off other spurs (which is not allowed and can cause an electrical fire), and have ring mains extended without properly extending the wires (also not up to the latest standards). People often fall foul of the regulations because they employ people who, while good with electrics, simply don’t know what the latest UK standards are and therefore end up with non-standard installations. All of our electricians are qualified to the latest standard so understand the regulations and are able to properly sign off their work.

If you are going to have new plug sockets installed why not also go for some with built in USB chargers which you can charge your devices from including your phone?
